Jen held a 'swim day' at school yesterday and raised £154.84 towards our target!  Great news!  So thanks to all the parents and children of Ampfield Primary School who donated and took part.  There was also a waffle sale after school and the proceeds from that were also kindly donated.  A great boost to our fundraising!

We have completed our longest training swim before the big day!  To find out more read our blog and check out the training page!  It was great - over four and a half hours in Windermere itself!  There are videos of the swim on our Facebook page - we can't quite work out how to get them onto this site so please go and have a look there...

A big thanks to all those people who are busy raising money on our behalf - to Emma, Jen's sister, who has raised £65 at work and to Matt's mum who has pulled in over £100 from friends, family, work and her church. Only with your help will we get close to our target so thanks very much!!

Happily, we have lots more thanks to dish out to people... 

  • To Matt Stanaway at the Waterhead Hotel in Ambleside who has kindly agreed to provide us with some very welcome hospitality at the beginning or end (depending on direction) of our swim (see sponsors page).
