On August 17th 2008, we swam the length of Lake Windermere - all 10.5 miles
of it - in just over six hours. Please explore the site to find out

We have decided, in our great wisdom, to swim the length of Lake
Windermere, the longest lake in England. It's 10.5 miles long - that's
a long way in swimming terms, about half way across the Channel or 672
lengths of your local pool! Why, you may ask? Well, we are both
suckers for a good challenge, but mainly we are hoping to raise vast
amounts of money for Cancer Research UK - our fundraising target is
£5000. We will be doing the swim in August 2008 which is approaching rather quickly now!
